Mulch Day

Students "dug in" with shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows to spread our new mulch delivery around the garden beds and the orchard. The mulch retains moisture and controls weeds. In the orchard area, students distributed the mulch to create a picturesque path.

Nature Trail Progress

Nature 10

A compost container has been placed next to the group of tables before bungalow B-15. The compost we make will be mixed with the soil used in our garden and nature trail. You can add ingredients from the list below to help create a rich growing environment for the plants.

Help is needed in the following areas:

  • Creating new partnerships. Do you know a person or business that could contribute items from the wish list? (click for wish list)
  • Applying for grants. Do you know a club or organization that offers garden, education, or neighborhood beautification monies?
  • Campus fundraising. Would you like to spearhead a campus fundraiser or help set up and publicize an online fundraising site?

All suggestions, leads, and self-initiated efforts are welcome!
