Iman Zermeno, grade 11, received a Filipino Heritage Youth Leadership Award from Assemblymember Dr. Shirley Weber’s Hispanic-American and Filipino-American Heritage Recognition event, which was held Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
Every year, Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber honors Hispanic-American and Filipino-American leaders who live, work or attend school in the 79th District and have given themselves in significant ways to make their hometown a better place to live. In September and October, during Hispanic-American Heritage and Filipino-American Heritage Months, they celebrate remarkable individuals whose contributions improve the quality of life in their communities.
